Everyone needs a little Magick in their life.

The Truth About These 3 Pagan Religions...

Let's talk about 3 types of Pagan Religion. These were not really "founded" by any single person. Each of these developed on their own through nature, customers, human culture, rituals and beliefs that have been present since modern man came into being.

Question #1:

Are you a man or a woman?

Many of these old religions do not have a single God...any holy books... etc. The beliefs that form the basis of these religions were handed down from one generation to the next.

Most of the old pagan religions have ideas and beliefs that are completely indigenous , in that the traditions had absolutely no foreign influence at the beginning.

During these times the indigenous pagan religions expanded as more and more people started following the traditions.

It was during this time that many of these religions began to expand and multiply...and eventually spread to Europe and parts of the rest of the world.

One of the best ways to "categorize" all of these religions is to look at their specific belief in a divinity.

All of them worship nature to some degree...and many also believe in the sacred feminine deity, or deities.

Some of these religions are polytheistic and believe in multiple deities...each one serving a particular function.

Some Gods/Goddesses handle the weather...some handle fertility...prosperity... love... health, etc.

These are all believed to be separate entities.

The group of deities that each pagan religion follows is called a "pantheon".

The religions that are more nature based believe that every part of the universe (including everything of this world...plants...animals...humans...rocks...) are part of the "divine creation".

It is also believed that every object, living or inanimate, has energy.

One of these is the popular religion of Wicca. It has roots in Europe, and incorporates the old Pagan traditions from many places such as Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and England.

Now...due to the fact lots of different beliefs were brought in to Wicca, there are many different "types" of Wicca being followed.

The most popular in the U.S. is the Gardernarian tradition which incorporates the duality... Goddess and God.

There is also "Dianic Wicca" which was founded by Margaret Murray... and in this vein of Wicca, the entire divinity is female...Diana.

There is also Hectatian Wicca where the Goddess is Hectate.

So ends a quick run down on where some of these pagan religions come from, and what some of their belief systems are.
