Everyone needs a little Magick in their life.

How To Release The True Power Of White Magick

I'm not a big fan of the terms "White Magick" and "Black Magick", but I also understnad these phrases are commonly used to classify different spells.

To me, there is simply Magick. And it is your choice to use it for "good" (releasing postive energy into the world), or for "bad" (bringing negative energy to the world). And...it's important to note that "Black Magick" and "White Magick" may mean different things to different people.

Question #1:

Are you a man or a woman?

First, let me clarify why types of spells I consider "White Magick", and the ones I consider "Black Magick".

I believe that any spell cast from a place of love, peace, for the betterment of yourself or someone you care about, is white Magick. As long as you do not try to effect anybody else's "free will", and you get their permission to cast a spell on them... and all the benefits of the spell are of a positive nature...

Obviously, Black Magick is close to the opposite. You're casting spells that directly seek to harm someone or something... and/or you are casting spells to effect another persons "free will". For me, it's pretty cut and dry.

White Magick seeks to use our creative energies to achieve results that align on the "good" side of Karma.

If you're gong to use White Magick to increase the level of happiness in your life, you must be very careful not to hurt anyone in the process. Usually, a simple phrase like "An' it harm none. So mote it be." will suffice.

I urge all of my students to practice White Magick, for long term success and happiness. All too often, Black Magick practicioners cast spells for short-term gain... and eventually suffer the effects of the bad Karma associated with these spells.

When casting White Magick spells (i.e. almost all of the spells I teach), you evaluate your actions, and all possible consequences before casting.

An example of "Black Magick", in my opinion, is the casting of a spell to return a lost lover to us. A specific person. This could attract the lover back against his/her will. This may negatively (even harmfully) effect the relationship in the future.

Additionally, with White Magick, it's important to make sure you really deserve what you ask for.

Build up good Karma first, by being a good person. Then ask for your desires in your spellwork.

To me, "White Magick" (the way most people define it), is the only way to attract true happiness into our lives through Magick...and ensure harm comes to nobody in the process.

Finally, many students ask me, "What if someone is attacking me personally? How can I make them stop with Magick?"

I could write a book on this subject all by itself...but the general rule is... look at the spell. If it focuses on simply STOPPING the activity, great. If it goes further than that, you are treading on dangerous waters.

In the end, spell casting isn't different than anything else. Each day we have an opportunity to perform good actions (helping people in need, etc...), or bad actions (hurting others physically or emotionally).

The actions you choose define the Karma you generate. So it is with spells.
